On December 3rd, 2015 which is the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, the International Developmental Pediatric Associaton (IDPA) was formed during the 1st Congress held in Istanbul, Turkey. The theme for the 1st IDPA Congress was Addressing Difficulties in Early Childhood Development.
We hosted approximately 300 workshops, courses, key note lectures, panels, and research presentations from 44 countries pertinent to ADD-ECD in low and middle-income countries.
The first internationally developed method to monitor child development - “International Guide for Monitoring Child Development (IGMCD)” was launched.
